How Do You Account For Your Time Every Week?
A survey was carried out for working class people in Port Harcourt, Nigeria to assess the average time spending habit of many individuals. The result of the survey is as shown below:

What was obvious during this exercise is that majority of individuals were at a loss as to how they spend their God given resource of time. Many work far below 8hrs per day and spend a lot of time with friends and associates at different hangouts/joints.
While the average working hours stand at 70hrs/week for workers surveyed, it compares disproportionately with many successful people who put in about 16hrs of work per day or about 112hrs per week. Certainly, the result can never be the same.
One reason why many people fail to do needful things at the right time is their belief that there is abundant time.
So, the secret of managing time effectively is “Never leave till tomorrow what you can do today” as observed by Benjamin Franklin. Every individual must know that all achievers of all time had a day of 24hrs like anybody else but the difference is what these achievers did with their time coin.
To achieve your dreams, you must spend your time wisely by not putting off things intentionally and habitually. That is what is called procrastination. The law of timing demands that every assignment has a deadline and a delivery time. There are tasks that must be completed at a particular time; when not done, others will suffer. The law of timing teaches individuals to know when to work, play, recreate, play host to visitors and hangout, by maintaining a work-life balance. There are several factors that make leaders and team members violate this law in the work place. These factors are referred to as infringements against the law of timing.
